Our Team
Chris
Lewns BDS, DGDP MSc(Implant Dentistry)
I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1987 and
moved back to my home town of Whitstable to practice in 1990.
Whilst continuing to provide general dental services I studied
for a Diploma in General Dental Practice which I obtained
in 1996.
I started working in the field of dental implants in 1997
when I was lucky enough to be one of the first three dentists
to be admitted onto the Masters degree program at Guy’s
and St Thomas’s Hospital in London. The course was run
under the guidance of Professor Richard Palmer, the first
Professor of Implantology in the U.K., and I was pleased after
3 years of studying to receive a distinction.
I believe in maintaining high educational standards in this
area of innovative technology and as such, I am a regular
attendee of postgraduate conferences and meetings all over
the world. I am a member of The Association of Dental Implantology,
The European Association of Osseointegration, The American
Academy of Osseointegration and The British Dental Association.
